Restoration of 14 metro stations starts in Moscow

Restoration of 14 metro stations in Moscow will be launched this year, the head of the Department of Cultural Heritage of Moscow, Alexey Yemelyanov, told reporters on Tuesday.




Mr. Yemelyanov specified that the restoration activities would start at the following metro stations: Kropotkinskaya, Kurskaya (the Belt and Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya lines of the Moscow underground), Dinamo, Belorusskaya (the Belt and Zamoskvoretskaya lines), Oktabrskaya (the belt line), Park Kultury (the belt and Sokolnicheskaya lines), as well as Krasnopresnenskaya, Lubyanka, Ploshchad Revolyutsyy and Paveletskaya metro stations (the Belt and Zamoskvoretskaya lines).

“None of the stations will be closed for restoration,” he stressed, noting that all restoration activities were planned according to the metro operation schedule and would be carried out at night time.
