The Vladivostok Developer coal deposit, SC "Universal", has summed up the first year of operation with vehicles by Volvo. According to the press service of Volvo, the first Articulated Dump Truck Volvo A40F (39 tons carrying capacity at 18.4 cubic meters body capacity) joined the fleet of the Developer coal mine five hundred kilometers from Vladivostok in May last year.
Today, eight Volvo dump trucks are in use at Developer. Compared with other technology manufacturers, total carrying capacity has increased by two and a half. The machines work almost around the clock in two shifts lasting ten hours each.
Each machine is equipped with the telematics system ‘CareTrack’, which allows the operator to monitor the status of each item from any device connected to the Internet. Continuing its development of coal deposits, SC "Universal" is planning to increase production volumes and to continue to cooperate with the official dealer of Volvo CE in Russia.
