<yandex:full-text>At the exhibition, Invisiline showcased its flagship line of slot diffusers, which provide perfect, seamless integration into architectural surfaces, becoming virtually invisible. &quot; The exhibition was not just a debut for us, but a powerful confirmation that we are on the right path,&quot; commented Helen Miroshkina, founder and visionary of Invisiline. &quot; We saw that the global market today demands not just equipment, but comprehensive aesthetic solutions. At the epicenter of the global construction market, our diffusers were perceived as an element of the author&#039;s design concept, not merely a technical component.&quot; Over the course of the exhibition, Invisiline specialists held over 400 meetings with potential distributors and partners from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and India. Participation in the exhibition marks Invisiline&#039;s first step in a strategy of active global expansion. <yandex:full-text>Covering an expansive 140,000 square metres, Boulevard is designed to resemble a runway, with three Boeing 777s repurposed into themed venues. Inside one of these aircraft, Leber has created a scientific play and educational centre featuring seven interactive modules. Each module allows children to conduct experiments and learn about the principles behind various physical phenomena. For instance, the “Shadow Theatre” introduces optical effects, the “Electric Maze” demonstrates the movement of electrical currents, and the “Coastal Beacon” helps distinguish between halogen, fluorescent, and LED lamps. All experiments were developed by Leber in collaboration with experts from Moscow State University. The opening of Boulevard Runway in Riyadh forms part of the broader Saudi Seasons tourism project, which in previous years has attracted more than 10 million visitors. “We are proud that our project has become a significant cultural event, drawing attention to educational play and showcasing Russian technology on the international stage. Leber continues to develop the concept of scientific playgrounds, making them accessible to children worldwide,” said Igor Shapovalov, Leber’s Marketing Director. Leber’s first scientific playgrounds were introduced in Russia in 2022 at the Second Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi. The project immediately garnered widespread attention, and by March 2023 the President had recommended these scientific playgrounds for all regions of Russia as part of the “Decade of Science” initiative. Today, similar educational play zones can be found in 40 regions across the country.</yandex:full-text>

<yandex:full-text>Recall that the transformation of the company, formerly part of AGC Glass Europe - the European division of AGC Inc., was completed in February of this year - the new owner became a specialized investor Igor Mikhailovich Leytis. With the transfer to the Russian owner, the leading domestic glass manufacturer enters a new milestone of development and expands opportunities for further investments in the equipment of production facilities. The process of changing the name was preceded by the development of about 30 variants of the new name and a large-scale survey among the company&#039;s employees and industry experts, including key partners and leading Russian architects, following which the idea of the AIG brand was accepted by the absolute majority. Conceptually, the new name reflects the principle of chemical reaction between silver - Argentum - and glass, which is the basis for the creation of special products of the glass industry, which is the main focus of the company. It also reflects the idea of interaction with business of the most important &quot;asset&quot; of the company - its large team of passionate professionals, because in life, the right &quot;chemical reaction&quot; between specialists triggers effective processes of creating new products, helps to create an ecosystem of business and scale it. At the same time, the transformation of the company enshrines in the name Argentum Innovation Group the priorities that have guided the company throughout its history in Eastern Europe - innovative development and technological leadership in the field of glass production. The official slogan of AIG - &quot;Russian Glass - the Power of Generations&quot; - was also chosen not by chance. It emphasizes the idea of the continuity of the company&#039;s fundamental values and the historical identity of its key assets - the Bor Glassworks and Klin Glassworks - leading enterprises with a long history.</yandex:full-text>

<yandex:full-text>Mohammed Salahuddin Ahmed, head of the Indian branch of MONTRANS Group: &quot; We discussed the existing mechanisms of truck transport operation at the mines and realized that the whole management system is based solely on manual labor. As for refueling, fuel consumption, motor-hours, everything is recorded with a pen on paper. We offered our products as a realization of a complex solution for online vehicle monitoring&quot;. According to the pilot project, Russian specialists equipped five vehicles with fuel level sensors and terminals for data processing and transmission in LTE standard. A tilt sensor was installed on a loader to monitor the operation of the lifting mechanism. The installation of telematics in the fleet was the highlight of the year for employees. Dozens of drivers and mechanics followed the actions of the Russian engineers. To date, the digitalization of vehicle fleets in India is about 10 years behind the level of Russian companies. Already in the first days of operation of our telematic systems, top managers of the Indian company felt global advantages in new ways of fleet management. Based on the results of the pilot project, a decision will be made on the digitalization of the entire fleet.</yandex:full-text>

<title>MAPEI: 85 YEARS OLD AND STILL LOOKING TO THE FUTURE</title>
<link>https://russianconstruction.com/news-1/33328-mapei-85-years-old-and-still-looking-to-the-future.html</link>

<category>news</category>
<pubDate>Tue, 15 Feb 2022 16:01:02 +0300</pubDate>
<yandex:full-text>It was 1937 when Rodolfo Squinzi founded his building materials business in the outskirts of Milan with seven members of staff and the support of his wife Elsa. That is how Mapei - Materiali Ausiliari Per l&#039;Edilizia e l&#039;Industria - was first established, setting off on a path that would lead it to become a multinational company championing Italian excellence all over the world. Eighty-five years later, the facts and figures about Mapei tell the story of how it has evolved: three generations of entrepreneurs, business operations in 57 countries, over 20 product lines to meet all the needs of the building trade, 84 production plants, revenue of 2.8 billion euros, and almost eleven thousand staff. The farsightedness and passion of Giorgio Squinzi, at the helm of the company from 1984 to 2019, the constant support of his sister, the lawyer Laura Squinzi, and the insight of his wife Adriana, head of marketing and communications strategy, have steered the way ahead, laying the foundations for what are now the Group’s pillars: Internationalisation, Research and Development, Specialisation and Sustainability. Support for culture and sport have also helped secure close ties between business operations, the surrounding region and the company itself. These bonds are still the company’s most distinctive trait worldwide. Since 2019, the Lawyer Laura Squinzi has been Chairman of the Board of Directors, which also includes the architect Simona Giorgetta and the Group CEOs Veronica and Marco Squinzi. &quot; We are treating this important milestone more like a starting line. We are ready to face new challenges, knowing that we can count on a team of the highest calibre - so Veronica Squinzi stated - Mapei is a company with its heart in Italy and its eyes looking out across the globe. Since our grandfather took that historic first step in 1974 and built the athletics tracks for the Montreal Olympics, we have never stopped investing in new markets. Today we have 91 subsidiaries in 57 countries, and we have no intention of stopping here. We recently acquired the French company Resipoly and we are currently building five new factories everywhere from the United States to China&quot;. Marco Squinzi went on to add: &quot; Our deep commitment to innovation and research is still a major part of the entire Group strategy. We are a chemicals company manufacturing products for the building industry and the aim of our 32 research laboratories is to come up with cutting-edge products to make building increasingly sustainable by focusing on durability and quality. We believe that extending the life cycle of existing buildings is the best way to consume fewer resources and produce less waste for landfills. We are also committed to making increasing use of raw materials with low environmental impact or secondary raw materials to help boost the circular economy, simultaneously striving to reduce the use of hazardous substances to a minimum in order to protect not only the environment but also workers’ health &quot;. There are countless projects and initiatives that have seen Mapei play a leading role in helping communities grow all over the world: from the upgrading of iconic buildings, such as the Guggenheim Museum in New York, La Scala Opera House in Milan and the Colosseum in Rome, to the construction of large infrastructures like the Panama Canal, and the company’s involvement in major futuristic projects like the ‘Arena del Futuro’, an innovative green-mobility project following the route of the A35 Brebemi motorway in Italy based on dynamic induction electric recharging. As it blows out eighty-five celebratory candles, Mapei is retracing its own history but, above all, it is looking to the future, choosing to take on new challenges with the commitment, passion, high specialisation and professionalism that have always distinguished the company and its people.</yandex:full-text>

<yandex:full-text>IVECO, the commercial vehicles brand of CNH Industrial (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI), and Air Liquide, a world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop hydrogen mobility in Europe. The partnership will contribute to materialize clean mobility by leveraging the two companies’ complementary competencies, in particular Air Liquide’s unique expertise across the entire hydrogen value chain, from production and storage to distribution, and IVECO’s legacy as a provider of advanced, clean sustainable transport solutions. Both partners will dedicate means and resources to study the roll-out of heavy-duty fuel-cell electric long-haul trucks coupled with the deployment of a network of renewable or low-carbon hydrogen refuelling stations along the main trans-European transport corridors. In parallel, both companies will jointly promote initiatives to encourage hydrogen mobility by involving all stakeholders along the entire value-chain. This partnership is in line with the companies’ ongoing collaboration in the HyAMMED (Hydrogène à Aix-Marseille pour une Mobilité Ecologie et Durable) project in the South of France, to develop the first European fleet of fuel-cell electric 44 tonne trucks associated to the first high-pressure 1 tonne/day hydrogen refuelling station, targeting the decarbonization of long-haul freight mobility in Europe. “We are committed to the development of a hydrogen economy and are excited to collaborate with Air Liquide in researching the most effective way to provide operators with this sustainable alternative transport fuel,” commented Luca Sra, designated President, Truck Business Unit, Iveco Group. “It is essential that we all focus on reaching global net zero-emission targets, working together to propel the industry faster in accomplishing this.” Matthieu Giard, Vice President, a member of the Executive Committee, supervising Hydrogen activities at Air Liquide, said: “Hydrogen can significantly contribute to reducing emissions of the transportation sector as it is particularly well suited for long-haul heavy-duty vehicles. Air Liquide is pleased to join forces with a leader such as IVECO to explore how to set this revolution in motion. In line with its sustainability objectives, Air Liquide acts in favor of the development of hydrogen ecosystems and contributes to the emergence of a low-carbon society.</yandex:full-text>

Engineered for robustness and reliability in the most extreme off-road missions, it is the toughest truck in the brand’s heavy range and features key design elements that are evocative of the new IVECO WAY heavy range and the brand’s DNA. Turin, 29h November 2021 The IVECO T-Way has received the prestigious recognition of “Excellent Product Design” Winner in the Utility Vehicles category of the German Design Awards 2022, one of the most prestigious in the design landscape across all industries. It was bestowed by the German Design Council, one of the world’s leading competence centres for communication and brand management in the field of design. A jury panel of 37 eminent design experts from 10 different countries representing the design industry, business, academia and science selected the IVECO T-Way for this award. The German Design Awards are celebrating their tenth anniversary with an edition themed “How Designers Think” which pays special attention to the many ways in which designers find answers to increasingly complex issues, from new digital technologies to climate-neutral production. This perfectly applies to the IVECO T-Way, the toughest vehicle in the brand’s heavy line, engineered for robustness and reliability in the most extreme off-road missions. The design of the IVECO T-WAY is highly focused on translating the main elements of the IVECO WAY range for the specific off-road mission. Every detail is set to offer maximum functionality in the off-road mission. The overall design is characterized by elements such as the proud logo dominating the highly detailed and distinctive grille and the signature shape of the headlights – all the styling cues evocative of IVECO’s DNA. Marco Armigliato, CNH Industrial Strategic Design, commented: “We are very proud that the IVECO T-Way has been recognized with such a prestigious award. It shares the driver-centric design that we introduced with the new IVECO WAY heavy range, which has very quickly become popular throughout the driver community. Our new hydrogen-fuelled engines can be put into production relatively quickly and it’s an important and pioneering step towards a zero-carbon future, and testament to the amazing abilities of our British engineers.” JCB’s purpose-engineered zero CO² hydrogen fuel motor was designed after a challenge to the company’s engineers from Anthony Bamford. The newly designed motor harnesses JCB’s existing expertise and supply chain infrastructure. The company is investing £100 million in the project and has two prototype hydrogen fuelled machines on test: a backhoe loader and a Loadall telescopic handler.</yandex:full-text>

<yandex:full-text>AkzoNobel CEO, Thierry Vanlancker, commented: “During the third quarter, as predicted, extraordinary levels of raw material costs and supply disruptions impacted our business. Despite supply constraints and the resulting backlog, we were able to demonstrate 6% revenue growth. “I’m very proud of our team’s focus on our own pricing, as demonstrated by the 10% increase run rate by the end of the third quarter. We’re on track to have our own pricing actions offset the raw material inflation by year-end. “As we’ve already indicated, the headwinds are likely to be with us going into 2022. However, we’ve established a strong pathway for our Grow &amp;amp; Deliver ambition and remain confident in the €2 billion EBITDA target for 2023.” </yandex:full-text>

<yandex:full-text>The wraps have already come off a prototype hydrogen powered JCB backhoe loader and a second JCB machine - a Loadall telescopic handler - was today unveiled at a central London event attended by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. JCB is world market leader for both backhoe loaders and telescopic handlers. JCB’s hydrogen technology will be next on show in the Green Zone at COP26 in Glasgow as world leaders debate measures to drastically reduce greenhouse emissions. JCB’s emergence as a leader in zero-emission hydrogen technology comes as governments around the world unveil strategies to develop the infrastructure needed to support the use of hydrogen to drive down CO2 emissions. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “Great British manufacturers like JCB are developing innovative solutions to slash greenhouse emissions and advance the UK’s green industrial revolution. It was fantastic to see JCB’s super-efficient hydrogen engines, which could overhaul UK manufacturing, help us to rapidly reach our climate targets and ramp up the UK’s hydrogen economy ‐ an exciting area that will be essential to tackling climate change, creating new jobs and attracting investment.” JCB Chairman Lord Bamford said: “Our sort of machinery will need to be powered by something other than fossil fuels. We make machines which are powered by diesel so we have to find a solution and we are doing something about it now. We are investing in hydrogen as we don’t see electric being the all-round solution, particularly not for our industry because it can only be used to power smaller machines. It does mean we will carry on making engines, but they will be super-efficient, affordable, high-tech hydrogen motors with zero CO2 emissions, which can be brought to market quickly using our existing supply base. These will be our industry’s first hydrogen engines, developed in Great Britain by British engineers. Hydrogen motors have the potential to help the UK reach CO2 emissions targets more quickly.” JCB has manufactured engines since 2004, producing them at plants in Derbyshire and in Delhi, India. This year JCB will celebrate a major milestone: the production of its 750,000th engine.</yandex:full-text>
