The Moscow Fund for Major Repairs has announced a tender to replace nearly 2,000 lifts in high-rise buildings in the city.
The total price of the public contracts amounts to 3.9 bln roubles, according to the document published on the website of public purchases. The winners will have to start the work in April and May of this year.
The replacement of the elevators will be carried out within the framework of an overhaul of common facilities in high-rise buildings.
The law, establishing the regional system of the overhaul of common facilities in high-rise buildings at the expense of the owners, was adopted in December, 2012. The operation of the first such system started in 2014.
Now, residents of high-rise buildings will be able to choose how they should make a contribution for the overhaul – to the special account of the house or to the operator’s account.
