The authorities of the Republic of Bashkortostan have announced a tender for the first concession agreement under the project of the construction of the Sterlitamak – Kaga – Magnitogorsk highway. The project is estimated at 12 bln roubles.
The project includes the reconstruction of the road at the Sterlitamak – Kaga section and the construction of a new one, at the Kaga – Khamitovo – Magnitogorsk section.
The land plots have already been made ready and the mechanism for the investor's payback has been determined, as have the requirements for a potential investor, the source of income etc.
The investor will have to build a 170 km road of the 3rd category with an asphalt concrete pavement. The highway is designed to connect the industrial centers of Sterlitamak and Magnitogorsk.
The new road will have toll sections throughout the concession agreement, i.e. 15 years. The road toll will go into the region's budget. The concession owner will receive payments within the course of the objects' lifespan.
State support of the project will amount to 8 bln roubles and will cover 70% of its capital costs.
The concession agreement is scheduled to be signed with the tender winner in the first quarter of 2017.
