Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, signed a decree, according to which an auction for right to use a land plot with mineral resources of federal importance located in the Irkutsk region will be conducted. In particular, this land includes “Sukhoi Log” gold ore field.
The right of the land usage implies exploration, gold and silver mining, the statement published on the website of the Russian Government reads. The area covers 7,94 square meter kilometers.
“In accordance with the article 40 of the Russian Federation’s Law on “Mineral Resources”, a license holder granted the right to use mineral resources makes onetime payment, which extent is determined in accordance with the Government’s decree of the 4th of February 2009, number 94. The payment for this plot of land totals 8551,305 million rubles,” the document reads.
