The authorities of the Krasnodar region plan to attract 1,5 billion rubles ($25 million) from non-budgetary sources to reconstruct a building of the Krasnodar city public circus, the regional Culture Minister, Viktoria Lapina, told reporters on Thursday.
Viktoria Lapina explained that those funds were not envisaged by the regional budget.
“The circus remains in state ownership of the Krasnodar region, however, currently, it is impossible to find 1,5 billion rubles for its reconstruction. That is why, we are seeking new ways of non-budgetary financing, in order to arrange the building in the near future,” the Minister said.
At present, some 800 people visit the circus’ shows.
