The industry development foundation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is to allot 500m rubles at 5% interest per year to the company “Interskol - Alabuga” for the creation of a new plant for production of new generation professional electric power tools for construction.
As Construction.ru was told by the foundation’s press office, this ‘soft’ loan has been adopted following expert advice. The total cost of the project will be 962m rubles. The new generation of professional electric power tools includes heavy electric hammer drills, construction mixers, screw-driving machines, scalpers and trimming saws.
After the plant is put into operation, import replacement on the Russian market for electric power tools for the construction and utilities sphere will be 15% of the total volume. The imported share in most professional tools segments is currently 90-100%.
