Russian company Gazprom Neft signed an agreement with National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) on participation in exploration of oil fields in Iran, according to the message published in the Energy Ministry of Russia.
“Agreement between Gazprom Neft and National Iranian Oil Company was signed,” reads the statement.
“I hope that after the document is signed, Gazprom Neft will start its activity at two oil fields on the territory of Iran,” the statement cities the Oil Minister of Iran, Bijan Zanganeh.
According to the information published on the website of the Oil Ministry of Iran, the matter concerns two oil fields – Changuleh and Cheshmehush.
As a reference, Gazprom Neft is involved in geological exploration and oil production projects in Iraq, Venezuela, Serbia, Angola, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and Hungary.
