A multipurpose cultural complex, the House of Russia, opened in Bethlehem on Friday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Palestinian Autonomy Mahmoud Abbas took part in the opening ceremony via video conferencing. We should remind you that the Palestinian leader arrived in the Russian city of Sochi to hold negotiations with the Russian party.
“Now, the Palestinian youth have got additional possibilities to demonstrate their talents, to get familiarize themselves with Russian culture, history, music and sports more closely,” Vladimir Putin said.
“We are proud to establish this center. It is a symbol of the development of relations in many areas,” Mahmoud Abbas said.
Construction of a multipurpose cultural complex named after Russian President Vladimir Putin was launched in 2013.
