Extra funds in the amount of 10 billion rubles ($177 million) are planned to be allocated this year to finance construction of Vostochny Cosmodrome, according to the explanatory note to the budget amendments for year 2017 and the planned period of 2018-2019.
As stated in the document, funding is needed for implementation of the federal target program under the name of “The Development Of Spaceports For The Period Of 2017-2025 And Ensuring Space Activity of Russian Federation.” The amendments concern construction of the second phase of Vostochny Cosmodrome.
In particular, parliamentarians propose to clarify a paragraph No 7, which will envisage an increase of budgetary allocations from 28,5 million rubles to 38,6 million rubles.
