Reconstruction of Central Park for Recreation and Entertainment (The Gorky Park) will be carried out in the Russian city of Volgograd for 330 million rubles ($6 million), the Mayor’s press office told Interfax news agency on Thursday.
“As a result of the reconstruction, the Park with a total area of 23 hectares will receive new trees, shrubs, flower beds, playgrounds, children's rides. Besides, an outdoor theatre, Aqua Park, ethno-park Cossack Kuren will appear in the territory of Gorky Park, as well as Nobel town and a number of other facilities for active and family leisure, the agency’s interlocutor said.
He noted that the reconstruction of the Park would be carried out at the expense of an investor – LLC Park.
