Since 2015, apartment prices in Trump Tower have fallen by 30% per square meter compared to a decrease of 8% in similar facilities on the East Side in Midtown Manhattan, according to the New York CityRealty.com.
For comparison, prices in Olympic Tower, a complex in Midtown built in 1975, prices for apartments are almost the same as in Trump Tower. The building is located a few blocks south of Trump Tower. The cost of housing in Olympic Tower has fallen by 21% since 2015. This contrasts with the rise in house prices amounting to 29% in this area, including new high-rise buildings, Reuters reports.
At the moment, 22 apartments in Trump Tower are put for sale, although there were only 11 lots in 2015. The main reason for a decline in the popularity of this residential complex is attributed to tightened security introduced since Donald Trump announced that he would run for President of the USA.
