Nord Stream 2 AG received almost all pipes for construction

Nord Stream 2 AG has been supplied almost all pipes for building Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Paul Corcoran, the company's CFO, said on Tuesday.




As noted on the company's Twitter account, the length of each pipe is 12 meter, with the weight amounting to 24 tons. The underwater section of the pipeline will be made up of 200 thousand such pipes.

The largest shareholder of Nord Stream 2 AG (51%), which builds the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, is Gazprom.

The length of the gas pipeline will amount to over 1,200 km, while the capacity of the two lines is 55 billion cubic meters of gas annually. It will be put into operation before the end of 2019. Permits for construction and operation have been granted by Germany, Finland, and Sweden.
