Sales of new housing in Israel are slowing down

According to a study published by the Central Bureau of Statistics, sales of new properties in the period from May 2017 to April 2018 have decreased by 19.2% compared to the period of May 2016-April 2017, Globes reports.




Of the total number of residential property items sold last year, 35% transactions fell on the central region of the country, 18% - Tel Aviv, 16% - Haifa and 12% - the south of Israel. At the same time, in Jerusalem and in the north of the country, 8% of sales were recorded.

As noted in the report, during the period from February to April 2018, 4,840 objects of newly built housing were sold, which is 2.5% less than in the previous three months.
