Moscow sets to become leader in development of unmanned transport systems

Moscow city authorities intend to develop unmanned transport systems in the Russian capital city, with a corresponding agreement signed today within the framework of the 2018 Urban Forum.




The document was signed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on the part of the city authorities, and representatives of the companies of Yandex, GAZ Group, and KamAZ, as well as NAMI Research Institute.

Commenting on the agreement, Sergei Sobyanin has noted that Moscow as one of the leaders in the field of transport development is creating new models of electric trains and trams on the basis of high technologies. The electronic transport system is already operating in Moscow.

The Mayor has expressed his gratitude to the partners for the development of new transport models and has pledged that the Moscow authorities would make every effort to introduce these innovations to make the city a leader in this area.
