Launch of first phase of thermal power plants in Crimea is delayed

The first phases of Balaklavskaya and Tavricheskaya thermal power plants in the Crimea will be put into operation in October 2018, Russian Ministry of Energy told rambler News on Tuesday.




“The commissioning of the first power units of the Crimean thermal power is scheduled for October 2018”, the message reads.
At present, VO Tekhnopromexport company has provided the technical and technological readiness of the first phase of the construction of combined cycle gas turbine units of the Balaklava and Tavricheskaya TPPs (the first power units at each TPP with a capacity of 235 MW each).
“Start-up and adjustment works that precede putting into operation of generating facilities have been fully completed. Tests determined by the programs developed and coordinated by the system operator are being completed in accordance with the current regulatory and technical documentation,” the Energy Ministry reported.
