Rosavtodor has announced a competition for the construction of a road approach from the federal road M25 to the Kerch Strait and the dry cargo area of the port of Taman.
The initial cost of the contract is 15.3bln rubles.
As is stated on the state procurement web-site, the 40km long, 4-lane high-speed highway, with a calculated traffic speed of 120km per hour, will be laid on the territory of the Taman peninsula in the Krasnodar region, running from east to west. It will start from the existing M25 highway “Novorossiysk – the Kerch Strait” and end at the shallow spit at Tuzla, where it will connect with the bridge across the Kerch Strait.
The construction work will start on the date of the agreement of the state contract and finish in October, 2018.
