On November 19th, the 4th ENES international forum of energy efficiency and saving 2015 started in Gostiny Dvor in Iliynka Street in Moscow.
As our play-to-play correspondent Sofya Orlova reports, it is a big event in the sphere of development, implementation and promotion of energy-efficient technologies and energy development.
The central business event of ENES 2015 is the plenary sitting of ‘International cooperation: joint efforts for energy efficiency of economics and energetics development’.
The Minister of Energy of the RF, Alexander Novak, the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the Chaiman of Sberbank, German Gref, the Head of the South African BRICS Business Council and ESCOM CEO, Brian Molefe, the Nobel prize winner and Chairman of the International Committee on Global Energy Award, Rodney John Allam, and the Director General of the IRENA International agency for renewable energy, Adnan Amin, planned to take the floor.
As part of the forum, the All-Russia ‘Regional program implementation, efficiency enhancement, and energy efficiency practice implementation spreading’ conference was organized. Its participants discussed issues of energy efficiency in the utilities sphere.
The Deputy Minister of Energy of the RF, Anton Iniutsin, and the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Menn, took the floor at the conference.
On the second day of the forum, November 20th, The RF Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, will hold the first meeting of the energy ministers of the BRICS countries. Representatives of energy companies are also included in the delegations. They will discuss cooperation in the sphere of energy efficient technologies, institutionalizing of energy interaction, monitoring of global tendencies in the sphere, and estimates of energy resources consumption.
The program on the second day also includes the All-Russia ‘On the preparation of electric energy objects for work in the autumn/winter period of 2015 – 2016’ conference. More than 40 different events are planned.
November 21st is Youth Day at the exhibition. The main event is the traditional, casual meeting between the RF Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, and young participants, who will have the opportunity to ask the Minister a question. More than 150 questions have been collected through the website.
Nominees of the 2nd All-Russia competition for projects in the sphere of energy efficiency and saving will get their awards.
Visitors to the exhibition will see new and prospective developments in the sphere of energy efficiency. More than 10,000 participants have registered to take part in the event. More than 600 journalists from different countries representing 200 mass media outlets are present.
