The Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich, has stated his intention to offer Chinese investors the chance of taking part in the privatization of Russian companies. As the information agencies report, that was his answer to journalists’ questions about the Rosneft privatization.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, at the forthcoming meeting with the Premier of China’s State Council, Li Keqiang, Mr Dvorkovich is going to “mention” directly that the Russian authorities are open to this initiative. However, no specific companies are to be considered during the negotiations.
To remind you, within the framework of the government plan for 2016, the budget will be replenished via the privatization of some state assets, such as Rosneft, Bashneft and VTB Bank.
The Ministry of Finance assesses that the sale of a 19.5% stake in Rosneft might add 490 bln roubles to the budget.
