Since the beginning of year 2016, four hotels with a total area of about 60,000 square meters have been put into operation in Moscow.
Overall, ten hotel complexes are scheduled to be opened until the end of December.
A total area of six remaining hotels amounts to about 200,000 square meters, the press office of Moscow Urban Construction Complex told Construction.RU on Wednesday.
As an example, nine hotels were put into operation last year in Moscow, whereas over the course of the last five years, 35 new hotels opened in the capital of Russia.
Within the framework of preparation for World Cup 2018, Moscow needs 30,000 hotel rooms. So, the city administration intends to erect two- and three-star hotels in different parts of the country.
