Auchan Retail Russia, owned by French Auchan Holding, plans to increase its investment in Russia up to 30 bln roubles in 2017, says the company’s statement citing Chairman of Auchan Holding’s Board of Directors, Wilhelm Hubner.
For the period of 2016, the retailer’s investments on the Russian market will total 23 billion roubles. Until the end of the year, the company is going to open in Russia 30 stores more.
As it was reported earlier, Auchan will invest about 6 billion roubles in a new distribution center in the Domodedovo district of the Moscow region.
Auchan Retail Russia is a Russian subsidiary of Auchan Retail, which is a part of Auchan Holding. The company has been operating on the Russian market since 2002.
