Russian Sistema JSFC to take part in India’s “Smart City” project

Russian Sistema JSFC and Indian Tata Group are developing a “Smart City” project for the new capital city of the Andhra Pradesh state, the head of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry, Denis Manturov, told reporters.




In January this year, Indian government determined the first 20 cities, in which the “Smart City” projects will be realized. The list includes New Delhi, Pune in the state of Maharashtra, the Rajasthan state’s capital city of Jaipur and other cities with a population of more than 35 million people.

Investments in development of these cities will amount about $7,5 million. These funds are planned to be attracted mostly by means of a public and private partnership.

According to Denis Manturov, all available advanced technologies, including roads safety management system and a safe bus, will be applied at the “smart city” construction.
