Germans set up corn processing plant in Russia for €35m

PETKUS Technologie GmbH, a German company, intends to build a high-capacity plant processing corn seed in the Russian region of Stavropol.




As the regional press office told Construction.RU, over €35 million are expected to be invested in works at a construction site and equipment of the enterprise.

The plant will be located on the territory of “Solnechnodolsk” regional industrial park in the Izobilnensk district of the Stavropol region. As soon as the enterprise is put in operation, 150 jobs are planned to be created there.

Apart from processing of corn seed, the investor will also embark on selective breeding activity. Construction of the plant is scheduled to be launched in 2017.
