The Ministry for Development of Russian Far East expects that until the end of 2017, more than 50 new enterprises with an investment volume of 60 billion will be launched in the country’s Far East, TASS news agency reports.

About 4,500 new jobs are expected to be created at the enterprises. The corresponding statement was released by the Ministry’s press-service following a meeting of a Deputy Minister for Far East Development Alexander Krutikov with representatives of regional investment agencies.

“Today 537 investment projects are being worked out. Most of the investors have already received the status of a resident of priority development area or Free Port of Vladivostok. Our goal is to reach figures of not less than 900 investment projects by the end of the year, and the pace, at which we are moving, allow us to state that this goal is achievable”, - Alexander Krutikov said.
