Experts estimate the cost of the upgrading of a spinal sanatorium named after academician Burdenko and situated in the west of the Crimea at 4 billion rubles ($70 million), Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia, Maxim Topilin, announced.

“We must redesign the entire interior of the sanatorium and all the equipment. Pre-assessment amounts up to 4 billion rubles. This is some serious coin. We have instructed the Health Ministry of the Russian Federation on this issue, we care about this facility from the point of view of rehabilitation of the disabled. Our colleagues from the Crimean government together with the Health Ministry are working out this issue. I suppose, our Ministry, will bolster such proposals,” – Maxim Topilin told reporters in the Crimean town of Saki on Friday.

The resort, which was built over 40 years ago, is located in Saki, on the shore of salty healing lakes.
