A Russian enterprise, Goszagransobstvennost, is holding a tender for the design engineering for the restoration of the dome’s gold coating on the National Capitol in Havana, the capital city of Cuba.

The maximum contract price amounts to 20 million rubles ($350,000). The relevant bidding application was published on the website of public procurement.

In May last year, Federation Council’s speaker, Valentina Matviyenko, said that Russian experts would assist in the restoration of the Havana Capitol building, which was intended to house the National Assembly of Cuba. According to Matviyenko, it was Cuban parliamentarians who requested the assistance, and a draft intergovernmental agreement was being prepared.

The renovation activities will be financed from the federal budget of the Russian Federation. A contractor will be determined in early June.
