$90 million to be allocated to Russia’s Far East sports infrastructure

In the period between 2016 and 2020, the Far Eastern Federal District of Russia will receive 5,2 billion rubles ($90 million) for the establishment of sports infrastructure, the press office of the Ministry of Far East Development said on Thursday.




These funds are envisaged in the “Far Eastern” section of a new wording of the federal target program titled “The Development of Physical Training and Sports in the Russian Federation for 2016-2020.”

According to the document, six sports and recreation centers are planned to be created in the Far East until 2020. Apart from that, the program envisages construction and reconstruction of the infrastructure for training sportsmen of Russian teams.
