Construction of a new modern terminal was launched in an airport of the Russian city of Chelyabinsk.
This issue was discussed at a meeting of the region’s Governor, Boris Dubrovsky, with the owners of the airport, the press office of the local administration told Construction.RU on Friday.
It is expected that the designing of a new building of a passenger terminal intended for domestic flights will be completed in February 2018. The construction completion is scheduled for December 2019.
The project is estimated at 2,9 billion rubles ($51,3 million). The airport’s capacity will amount to 2 million passengers per year.
As a reference, the Chelyabinsk region is situated in Russia’s Ural Mountains region, on the border of Europe and Asia. Its administrative center is the city of Chelyabinsk.
