Farmdo Corporation, a Japanese company, plans to invest over 1 billion rubles ($17 million) in the establishment of a greenhouse complex for year-round cultivation of vegetables in the Primorsky Territory, Russia’s Far East.

This is what the company's president, Masayuki Iwai, said at a meeting with the first Vice-Governor of the region Vasilii Usoltsev.

“The cost of our investment exceeds 1 billion rubles. We would like to get about 30 acres of land in Mikhaylovsky territory of advanced development and as soon as possible to start implementing our ideas,” the president of Farmdo Corporation noted.

Over the course of the project implementation, the investor plans to build greenhouses equipped with solar panels. The company is already building such greenhouses in Mongolia.
