The Chinese authorities have invited Roskosmos, a Russian Space Agency, to take part in a project for construction of a Chinese space station, however, Russia has not made a decision over this issue yet.
This statement was made on Monday by the head of Roskosmos, Igor Komarov.
“They made an offer, we are exchanging proposals on the participation in projects, but they have different inclination, different orbit and the plans that differ a bit from ours. At the moment, there are agreements and plans for the future, we do not have anything concrete,” Mr. Komarov told reporters at the international aviation show in Le Bourget, France.
Construction of the new Chinese space station is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
