Step Agriculture Holding, a company belonging to AFK Sistema, is considering construction of dairy farms in the Moscow, Rostov and Stavropol regions, in Russia, Chairman of the holding’s Board of Directors, Ali Uzdenov, told reporters on Wednesday.
“We are considering (options – editor’s note) in the Stavropol region, in the Moscow region. Rostov region is also a priority, given that the production of milk at industrial facilities there has declined in recent years.”
In June 2016, it was reported that Step state enterprise plans to build dairy farms in the Rostov region, the amount of investment in the project was estimated at 18 billion rubles. Later it was reported that Step abandoned the project, since it failed to find a plot of land.
