Rostec state corporation plans to restore Oktava enterprise producing an acoustic equipment, the press office of the company announced following a decision made by the Supervisory Board.
The company has developed a strategy for the enterprise development, according to which, by 2020, a revenue of Octava can reach up to 1 billion rubles. In addition, the plant was transferred under a direct control of Rostec, the press office said.
“Despite the considerable equipment deterioration and the need for a substantial investment, Oktava’s microphones are still exported to foreign markets, primarily to Germany and the United States. This suggests that there is a product on the basis, and therefore there are real prospects for the revival of legendary Oktava,” director general of Rostec state corporation, Sergey Chemezov, said.
