Works on the construction of a children's railroad between the settlement of Moskovsky and the village of Salaryevo in New Moscow will begin in 2019, the head of the Moscow Department of New Territories Development Vladimir Zhidkin told Interfax news agency on Tuesday.
“The project is fully implemented by the forces of JSC Russian Railways. Project development, coordination and preparation of construction sites will take some time. I think that construction of the rail line will begin in 2019,” he noted.
Vladimir Zhidkin has added that all costs of the project preparation and construction will be covered by The Russian Railways.
“The length of the children's railroad will be about 10-15 km. Trains will ply here, which from a technical point of view will be like real ones,” the head of the Department specified.
