The number of bargains with A-class cottages on the Saint-Petersburg realty market fell by 40% in the first half-year of 2017 when compared with the same period of 2016, RIA Realty reports referring to the Knight Frank consulting company.




The number of bargains with A-class cottages on the Saint-Petersburg realty market fell by 40% in the first half-year of 2017 when compared with the same period of 2016 and totaled only 9 houses. 33 houses of business-class were sold, the decrease makes 37%.

Additionally, the area of land plots has been reported to decrease. In A-class the households with the average area of 280 sq. m on the 17 ares large plots were popular with purchasers. In B-class mainly cottages with the area of 228sq.m on the plots of 13 ares were demanded.

There is a tendency of the proposal decrease in the A and B classes when compared with 2016. In A-class it went down by 6% -197 cottages, and in B-class – by 14% - 498 cottages.

Experts think, it is connected with the low developers’ activity and sales completion in some exclusive developments.
