The new parliament complex of Tajikistan will be constructed for the money granted by Chinese government, Interfax-Realty reports citing Jamshed Akhmadzoda, Chairman of the Republican Committee for construction and architecture.
A four-story parliament’s complex will be erected for a grant from China totaling $230 m. The design project has already been developed, and the territory is now being prepared. The construction will start before the end of the year, Mr Akhmadzoda said.
The chief architect of the country added that new governmental building in Dushanbe will also be constructed for Chinese money. The construction will start as soon as the project is corrected as some drawbacks were found in it.
Earlier the local media reported that the money necessary for the construction would be allocated by Saudi Arabia, and the intentions of the party were confirmed by top-officials. However in June, the Embassador of Saudi Arabia in Tajikistan denid the truth of the statement of Riyadh’s allocation the money for the construction of the parliamentary complex.
China remains one of the main investors in Tajikistan.
