The construction of a tilt-roof of the Yekaterinburg-Arena stadium is completed, according to the Sinara Group’s report.
The roof of the stadium is supported with eight pylons at the height of 45.5 meters. The total area of the roof is 28,000 sq. meters and it weighs 6,000 tons.
According to Timur Ufimtsev, Director General of the Sinara-Development company, the constructive solution of the roof is not typical, it is caved-in. A modern system of rainfall discharge without pumps has been applied. Additionally, the roof and pylons control system with special equipment checking the condition of the roof has been installed.
Presently, the specialists of the company are installing security and fire alarm system, and a video surveillance system. The automated supervisory monitoring and management of engineering equipment is implemented on the object. Constructors have started to assemble frameworks for display panels.
To remind you, the Yekaterinburg stadium is being reconstructed for the Football World Championship 2018. The cost of the state contract totals 12.2 bln roubles (≈$203m). The work is tocomplete on December 31st, 2017.
