All major reinforced concrete works at the “Luzhniki” stadium are complete, a joint block is finished, and the builders are proceeding to the interior decoration and the utility system installation.
This statement was made by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, who arrived at the construction site of the largest sports objects of the capital to take part in a sitting of the city committee on the stadium’s construction.
He has also expressed hope that by the end of the year the city will have a completed stadium, which will be fully operational next year.
The building per se is unique and extremely complicated. At present, the most important work on construction of the main utility systems, the backbone and the inlet engineering networks is being conducted there.
The main question is of landscaping. The most up-to-date security system will be installed, which will include 1,500 surveillance cameras. On the whole, the stadium’s reconstruction will be completed ahead of schedule, - noted Sergey Sobyanin.
To remind you, the “Luzhniki” Sports Arena is being reconstructed specifically for the World Cup 2018. The major matches will be played in this arena.
