Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning to make a working trip on Wednesday to the Krasnodar region and the Crimea, a press-service of the head of state reports on Tuesday.
According to the report, Vladimir Putin is going to visit the Crimean Bridge that is under construction across the Kerch Strait. In Crimea, the President will inspect a new passenger terminal of Simferopol international airport, as well as visit the city of Sevastopol.
As a reference, the Crimean Bridge will be the longest one in Russia (19 km) and is designed to connect the Peninsula with the mainland of Russia by road and rail. Traffic movement on the bridge is scheduled to be launched in December 2018. The total cost of the project amounts to over 227 billion rubles. The general contractor is S.G.M. Group, a construction company founded by Russian oligarch Arkady Rotenberg.
