Daimler AG, the company producing cars under the brand of Mercedes-Benz, is likely to release its first automobile produced at an under construction plant in the Moscow region in the first quarter of 2019.
This statement was made by the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Innovation of the Moscow region Vadim Khromov.
“At the moment, this project is in the active stage of implementation. The plant is under construction in the Solnechnogorsk district, general construction works on the buildings have already been completed while the interior finishing is underway. In the summer, the equipment will be installed at the plant. We expect that by the end of the first quarter of next year, products will come off the assembly line”, he said.
Vadim Khromov added that more than 1,000 jobs would be created at the enterprise.
