The German concern BMW Group can launch building a full-cycle plant located in the Russian region of Kaliningrad, by the end of this year.
This was announced by the region’s governor Anton Alikhanov on Friday, April 6, at the Moscow Management School at Skolkovo Innovation Center. ‘I hope that negotiations with BMW will be rounded off now and BMW will start building works this year’, Mr. Alikhanov was quoted as saying.
Earlier, a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Oliver Zipse, informed that the company expected to sign a special investment agreement envisaging the erection of a full cycle plant near Kaliningrad in 2018. According to him, the enterprise is currently negotiating this project with its Russian partners and Russian authorities.
