The annual study titled Holiday Costs Barometer conducted by Post Office has estimated the cost of staying in 18 different places by comparing the total cost of nine basic holiday needs.

This includes a cup of coffee, a bottle of Coca-Cola in a cafe, a bottle of local beer, a glass of wine in a bar, a 1.5-liter bottle of mineral water in a supermarket, lunch in a restaurant, The Telegraph reports.

For the fifth consecutive year, the Black Sea resort of Sunny Beach in Bulgaria has been holding a leading position. Lunch for two here will cost $12.3. Bulgaria has long been one of the cheapest European resorts and the situation will unlikely change.

Much more interesting is that a Turkish resort of Marmaris holds the second position. Experts believe that this resort has become cheaper due to a significant drop in the rate of the Turkish lira.
