Russia gets its first plant producing medical equipment for radiation therapy

An enterprise that produces medical equipment for radiotherapy, namely linear accelerators, will be built in Dubna, a city in the Moscow region, Russia, the Construction Ministry of the Moscow Region told Construction.RU on Monday.




A permit for the facility construction has already been issued by the Ministry. The project worth 900 million rubles is being implemented by the company “The Factory of Radiotherapy Technique”. The plant with an area of 2300 square meters will be located on the premises of the “Special Economic Zone of Dubna”. It will include the production, storage, and administrative areas. In the vicinity of the plant, the investor will build a parking and landscape the adjacent territory. The facility is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018

As a reference, it will be Russia’s first plant for the production of medical linear accelerators used in radiotherapy of oncological diseases.
