Gazprom has discussed with the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs the development of the country's gas transmission system.

This is what the Russian gas holding reported following a meeting between Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Hungarian Minister of Economic Affairs and Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Participants of the meeting considered issues of current interaction in the gas sector. In particular, the negotiations concerned deliveries of the Russian gas to Hungary.

“Szijjártó talked, among other things, about plans for the development of the Hungarian gas transmission system,” Gazprom said.

As a reference, in 2017, Gazprom supplied to Hungary 7 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 21.9% more than in 2016 (5.7 billion cubic meters).
