In Canada, works are started within a large-scale program for expanding the international airport of Vancouver (YVR).
According to CBC News, the expansion of the airport, which is scheduled to be completed in 20 years, is estimated at 9.1 billion Canadian dollars (6.8 billion US dollars). As the airport administration put it, the construction includes works on 75 major projects, the purpose of which is to accelerate the flow of passengers and goods through the airport, as well as provide passengers a wide range of services.
By the end of this year, 2,500 full-time jobs will be created for the implementation of the airport expansion.
The most significant changes will affect the system of heat supply and cooling, expansion of the terminal, the creation of new parking facilities, etc.
