The expanded Turkish Stream gas pipeline can pass through the territory of Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said at a press conference.
He noted that Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary have made decisions on the development of national gas transmission networks.
“It should be noted that these decisions are taken strictly in accordance with the current European energy legislation,” Miller said, adding that the gas pipeline can run through the gas transportation system of Bulgaria, Serbia and Hungary.
Gazprom CEO specified that the possibility of constructing a direct gas pipeline to Bulgaria for the supply of Russian gas through the Black Sea would depend on whether appropriate guarantees from Bulgaria and the European Commission were provided.
