The company Walt Disney decided to sell an office on the Upper West Side in New York and invest $650 million in the construction of a new headquarters in Lower Manhattan.
According to the company's report, the new facility will house such TV channels as ABC News, ABC and ESPN TV. The site will also be used for filming a popular TV shows — Live With Kelly and Ryan and The View.
In addition, Disney will move the streaming services to Lower Manhattan as well, which are now located in an office situated in Manhattan's Chelsea Market. Morning program Good Morning America will continue broadcasting from a television studio in Times Square.
