In 2019, a resident of the Komsomolsk advanced development territory, located in the Khabarovsk Territory, is going to launch a steel production plant.
The cost of the first phase of the project with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year will be 350 million rubles, Deputy Director of Dalstalindustriya, Alexander Kuznetsov, told TASS news agency on Thursday.
“The construction of a steel production plant with a hot galvanizing line has been started, the enterprise will produce 20,000 tons of products a year, the market is quite receptive, and the products can be used in construction, reconstruction, modernization of energy facilities, railway transport, port infrastructure, agriculture,” Kuznetsov said.
He has specified that the first phase of the facility is planned to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2019, while in December 2019, the first batches of products are expected to be shipped. Metal structures with an anti-corrosion coating will be supplied to the enterprises of the territories of Khabarovsk and Primorsky. Kuznetsov has noted that there is no similar enterprise in neighboring regions of Russia.
