Inside the ‘Business Centre’ metro station in Moscow, work has begun in finishing the traveling walls with marble.
The press service of the Moscow Department of Construction today told Construction.ru that finishing the granite floors will account for 18%. The work is going to end with the installation of frameworks for a false ceiling. Also, there is work being done with hard putty and painting the service premises. Ventilation boxes are being installed and engineering communications are being distributed.
The re-opening of the station will provide affordable transport for employees and guests of Moscow City, said the head of the Department of the Construction, Andrew Bochkarev. - Every day, there are about 300,000 people passing through this station. The capacity of the station will be up to 410,000 people a day.
The station’s main structures were built in the 2 lower levels of the underground space of the central core of MIBC ‘Moscow-City’ in 1999-2004. It is designed to be an interchange with ‘Vystavochnaya’ station on the Filyovsky line and ‘Business Centre’ station on the Kalinin / Solntsevsky line of the subway. The first section of the third interchange circuit on the Moscow Metro, ‘Nignyaa Maslovka’, consists of 6 stations: 5 newly built (‘Nignyaa Maslovka’, ‘Petrovsky Park’, ‘Khodynskoe Pole’, ‘Khoroshevskaya’, ‘Shelepiha’) and 1 completely constructed (‘Business Center’). The construction of these stations will form a new transfer contour on the subway system which will provide the opportunity to change from one branch to another without using the overloaded central transfer knots.
