45 billion rubles will be spent on the construction of the first stage of a new shipyard on the “Zvezda (Star)” plant in the Primorsky Region.
As was told to Construction.ru by the regional press service, the meeting of the working group on the implementation of the investment projects of JSC Rosneft took place on April 8th. There was a speech about the construction of an oil processing complex, the petrochemical production of “JSC East Petrochemical Company”, and a shipyard, “Zvezda”. Speaking at the meeting, the vice-president of "Rosneft", Victor Ishayev, said that the shipbuilding plant differs tenfold from ship-repair in terms of loading and volumes of processing. With interplant cooperation, all industrial enterprises in the Far East will get orders. It will increase productivity and create new jobs. According to the acting the CEO of ” JSC Far East Center” of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair, Vladimir Tsybin, the installation of the crane equipment and the start of paint-spraying booths and gas lines leading to them is now happening on the shipyard "Zvezda".
We will remind you that the Zvezda plant in the Big Stone is a leading enterprise for the repair of submarines in the Pacific fleet and the only enterprise in the Far East specializing in repair, re-equipment and modernization of nuclear submarines. The ship-building “Zvezda” complex is now being created there.
The first stage of works on the building site comes to an end in 2016, and the second and third stages in 2018. The complex will be engaged in the construction of a vessel for the development of hydrocarbon fields on the Arctic shelf.
